Family Hike

Last Saturday we decided to go on a hike as a family. South Carolina Santa gave Joe a hiking baby carrier for Maggie (and any future babies). It is awesome! It holds up to a 40 lb child, and has a backpack for anything else we want to carry (water bottle, snacks, cell phones). We had a blast, and it was the first time Maggie got to be in "nature". She seemed to really enjoy herself, and I have to say that I definitely had the best view. Every time I looked over at her she was just smiling! It was a little cold outside, so we were sure to bundle her up in three sleepers, a knit hat, a hood, and mittens. She looked like the little brother on A Christmas Story. The hike was on Dinky Mountain, right behind the campus of Southern Virginia University. It was close enough to civilization to make me comfortable, but we still got to feel like we were really in nature.

Here is a link to a video I took of our happy baby and her daddy on our hike.

Here are a few pictures:

You can see Main Hall to the right of Maggie

My view for most of the hike, what a cutie!

Best outfit ever!
